Toilet Paper: Not just for butts anymore.
Activity 1: Building
When kids are bored and the weather sucks, a little novelty goes a long way. And this first activity is only a little bit novel, because, let’s face it, kids build things all the time. They have wooden blocks, Lego, foam blocks, and even those giant cardboard bricks. But kids rarely get to build with toilet paper rolls! And somehow, that was novel enough to be fun. And easy enough for any parent, because we all have toilet paper… I mean, unless another lockdown hits and then it’s every butt for itself!

Activity 2: Playing Catch
When I was a kid, my parents bought two giant packages of bulk toilet paper. They opened the packages and tossed the rolls back and forth with us from the front hall to the second floor, with much giggling. I wasn’t used to my parents being so silly. It’s one of my most treasured childhood memories. Crazy how a simple game of catch can be so transformed with toilet paper. Throw in a few potty humour jokes and you’ll be the life of children’s the party!
Activity 3: Making a Mummy
My favourite kid party game is making a mummy. Half the fun is wrapping the mummy, and the other half is exploding out of it! I guess this game depends on how much toilet paper you’re willing to waste (or how committed you are to using up that basket of crumpled toilet paper for the rest of the week).
