Nauseous Your Average Care Package

The gift for people who feel sick to their stomach

There are a lot of reasons to feel nauseated: Pregnancy, sickness, hangover, etc. And, for a lot of us, we still need to be able to function. I have a friend who feels nauseated most days, due to a chronic health condition. She often doesn’t eat enough during the day, which decreases her already limited energy. She also has three kids. I made her this care package to try to help her keep her energy up and hopefully feel a little better.

Ingredients

  • Hardbite Avocado Oil Chips – Chips have always been a favourite hangover food for me. When I can eat nothing else, I can eat chips. These chips have a healthy oil in them, so they will also give some nutrition.
  • Frankie’s Organic Clouds – These are made with part quinoa and part brown rice, but are highly palatable. I chose the cheese and barbecue flavours, because I have already tried them and liked them.
  • Pedialyte Freezer Pops – Another hangover favourite. When you’re feeling sick, but need to replenish some electrolytes, freezies are easier to stomach than sports drinks. Sometimes I include freezies in bachelorette loot bags. It’s the next best thing to being hooked up to an IV!
  • Ginger Gravol – I took these a lot when I was pregnant. They don’t make you sleepy, like regular Gravol, which allows you to function during the day.
  • Go Go Quinoa Pasta – This pasta tastes exactly like regular pasta, but it’s half quinoa and half brown rice. My picky kids eat it with a bit of Ghee mixed in or even just with salt. A nauseated person could totally do the same.
